Security Systems International (SSI), a Bahamian company, was founded by Managing Director & President Craig Cates in 1987. The primary business of SSI is the installation of both residential and commercial alarm systems as well as access control, CCTV, and fire systems.
With a team of ten factory-trained technicians, seven administrative/support staff and eight dispatchers assigned to SSI’s 24 hour monitoring centre, SSI has become the Caribbean region’s leading edge technology implementer in the field of security.
Its 6000 clients range from modest homeowners and small businesses to The Bahamas’ major retail outlets such as Solomon Brothers, Kelly’s Home Store, Burns House, and Lowe’s Pharmacy; fast food chains such as Kentucky Fried Chicken, Burger King and Starbucks as well as most of its banks including Central Bank of The Bahamas, Bank of The Bahamas, and First Caribbean International Bank (both in The Bahamas, Caribbean & Latin America). Other Caribbean regional companies who SSI services are Shell, Esso, and Texaco.
